New Delhi: Aligned to its people-first ethos, Jindal Stainless on Friday announced a policy to extend all-round support to immediate family members of all its employees, including those working in its subsidiaries, who lost their lives to the current pandemic.

Announcing this policy, Managing Director, Jindal Stainless, Abhyuday Jindal said, “We’ve always known and believed that we are where we are, because of our people. To stand by them in this hour of crisis is not just for their well-being and sustenance, but also a constant reminder to the entire Jindal Stainless collective, that we are one large family. We are committed to our people, who are the pillars of our institutions.”

As per the policy, the families of the deceased employees will be entitled to the last drawn basic salary for 4 years from the date of demise or till notional retirement, whichever is earlier.

The policy will also extend existing medical insurance to the immediate family for next 5 years.

Education for two children of the deceased employee, up to graduation level, will be taken care of by the Company. One-time relocation expenses of the dependents will also be supported by the organization.

The assistance under this policy will be over and above the other prevalent social security and welfare benefits scheduled for dependents, the company said in a statement.
