New Delhi, July 27 (IBNS). Following overwhelming success in the UK, Australia, New Zealand, China, Hong Kong and Singapore, Lexis® Practical Guidance, an innovative online workflow-based solution, was launched in India at The Lalit, New Delhi, on Tuesday.
At the launch dignitaries like Dr. Lalit Bhasin, President, Society of Indian Law Firms (SILF), along with eminent senior law firm partners, senior advocates and corporate counsels by LexisNexis®, a leading global provider of content-enabled workflow solutions, were present.

Mohan Ramaswamy, Managing Director, LexisNexis® India - Legal & Professional, said, “If you look into the legal process dynamics, you will discover that more than 40% of the time of in-house counsels and partners is spent on drafting, conveyance and legal research, leaving them less time for business development or discovering new opportunities in unfamiliar areas of law."

"Moreover, non-availability of trusted legal updates makes the research process more time- and labour-consuming. No doubt, about 85-90% of the corporate lawyers see technology tools as key efficiency drivers. With Lexis® Practical Guidance, we have tried to re-engineer how things are done and, in particular, how we can make operations quick, trackable and efficient, saving both time and money.”

He also mentioned that for India, LexisNexis® has specifically developed premium content in partnership with the Society of Indian law firms (SILF) and some eminent corporate/general, uniquely aimed at the Indian market, with currently offering modules in Companies Act, Mergers and Acquisitions, Enterprise Corporate Management, Commercial Contracts and FEMA, with many more in the pipeline.”

Expounding on the association between SILF and LexisNexis India, Dr. Lalit Bhasin, President, Society of Indian Law Firms (SILF), said, "Our partnership with LexisNexis® is to be recognized as the leading association in India for the betterment of the legal landscape, providing futuristic solutions to today’s challenges. This strategic partnership combines our and LexisNexis’s expertise in developing indispensable knowledge resources with the aid of our legal experts’ knowledge, principles and practices to produce the best, most reliable and user-friendly content for legal professionals."

On Lexis® Practical Guidance’s success globally, Karen Taylor, Executive Director, Lexis® Practical Guidance Asia, said, “Lexis® Practical Guidance has been a tried and trusted solution for legal practitioners across the US, UK, Australia, New Zealand, China, Hong Kong and Singapore. LexisNexis’s award-winning platforms, combined with expert local content, bring the very best in know-how, drafting and compliance all underpinned by market-leading analysis and commentary with on-point links to cases and legislation. Whether for Indian matters, cross-border deals, or international compliance requirements, Lexis® Practical Guidance is the solution. It is time for Digital India, Digital World.”
