New leadership team takes the helm at ASSOCHAM

New Delhi, Feb 14 (IBNS): A new team is at the helm of The Associated Chambers of Commerce and Industry of India (ASSOCHAM) as Sandeep Jajodia, chairman & managing director (CMD), Monnet Ispat & Energy Ltd.

Balkrishan Goenka, chairman, Welspun Group and Mr Kiran Kumar Grandhi, vice-chairman of GMR Infrastructure Ltd. have taken over as president, senior vice-president and vice-president respectively.

“ASSOCHAM established in 1920 will continue to play a leading transformational role both nationally and globally and the apex chamber will empower Indian enterprises by focusing on the most critical and relevant issues in a highly impact-oriented manner,” said Mr Jajodia who took over from Sunil Kanoria, vice-chairman, Srei Infrastructure Finance Limited.

“It was a memorable experience and a great learning curve to head the organisation representing four lakh members across the country,” said the outgoing ASSOCHAM president.
