New Delhi, June 24 (IBNS): Ola, India’s most popular mobile app for transportation, today announced that ‘Ola Shuttle has been appointed as the official travel partner for the Delhi Summer Festival’, an annual event celebrating Food, Comedy and Music organised by Delhi Tourism and Transportation Development Corporation.

Thousands of patrons attending the festival between 24th June and 26th June can avail free Ola Shuttle rides from Tilak Nagar Metro station to and fro the event venue, Dilli Haat Janakpuri.

Ola has put up special kiosks near the Exit Gates at Tilak Nagar Metro Station. Volunteers from Ola will also be available on location to guide people to the free Ola Shuttle service for Dilli Haat.  There is also a special counter that has been put up at Dilli Haat where people can avail a free ride back to the metro station. Ola Shuttle’s free service will be available throughout the duration of the event from 24th June to 26th June between 11 am to 9 pm.

Kapil Mishra, Hon'ble Minister of Tourism, Govt of Delhi said, “This festival has been witnessing tens of thousands of visitors every year. This year, we have merged the annual mango festival with the first-ever summer festival and hence we anticipate that it will attract many more visitors than ever. Delhi has always been a hub of colourful cultural events and festivals like these add to vibrant nature for which this city is known for. We are sure that this three day extravaganza will surely get an overwhelming response from the people. Given such a large congregation of people travelling to and fro from the event-ground, there was a need to ensure a seamless commute for last-mile connectivity. We hope that the free rides enabled by Ola Shuttle will be a pleasant surprise for visitors attending the event."

Sundeep Sahni, Vice President – New Initiatives at Ola said, “Ola Shuttle is excited to be associated with Delhi Summer Festival. This festival also known as the annual Mango Festival is like a tradition in Delhi and is attended by thousands of Delhiites. Given our expertise in providing shared mobility options to citizens across many Indian cities, we brought the same technology knowhow and experience to address the last mile connectivity for patrons attending the festival.”

Sundeep further added, “We at Ola understand the mobility requirements of Indians and have created multiple solutions for their specific needs. Users in Delhi can log on to the Ola App to book from multiple cab options, Auto Rickshaws as well as shared mobility solutions like Ola Shuttle and Ola Share.”
