Prices of LPG hiked

New Delhi/UNI: The prices of liquified petroleum gas (LPG) were increased by Rs 3.50 Thursday.

With the latest revision of price, the domestic LPG cylinders will now cost more than Rs 1,000 in all the metros across the country.

The rates will be applicable from Thursday.

The 14.2 kg non-subsidised cylinder will now cost Rs 1003.00 in New Delhi, Rs 1029.00 in Kolkata, 1002.50 in Mumbai and Rs 1018.50 in Chennai.

This is the second hike in the LPG prices this month.

On May 7, the prices of LPG cylinders were increased by Rs 50.

Apart from the domestic LPG, commercial LPG cylinders too have become costlier.

The prices of commercial LPG cylinders have been increased by Rs 8. Now, a 19 kg cylinder will cost Rs 2354 in Delhi, Rs 2454 in Kolkata, Rs 2306 in Mumbai and Rs 2507 in Chennai.

This is the third revision of commercial gas cylinder prices.

In the last revision held on May 7, the commercial gas cylinder had become cheaper by Rs 10.

However, the prices of petrol and diesel have remained unchanged.
