Reliance Industries' brand new eCommerce platform JioMarket likely before festive season: Report

Mumbai: With the launch of its separate platform JioMarket nearing, Reliance Industries (RIL) has started inducting independent sellers and Direct to Customer (D2C) brands, media reports said.

RIL is looking to kick-start the operations soon to take advantage of the festive buying, said an Economic Times report citing sources.

There wouldn't be any change in the operations of JioMart, the online grocery platform of the Mumbai-based conglomerate. It would continue to function under Reliance Retail.

Aggressive hiring is underway for the business apart from onboarding sellers, a source said, the report added.

The report said, JioMarket is likely to have over a million products right at its launch and will be accessible to customers across 30,000 pin codes,
