Taapsee Pannu joins Panasonic’s brand ambassador bandwagon

Kolkata, Aug 10 (IBNS): Consumer electronics brand Panasonic India on Thursday announced the appointment of Bollywood celebrity Taapsee Pannu, as the brand ambassador, in addition to Varun Dhawan, the existing brand ambassador for its Smartphone Business.

The company also commenced its new Ad campaign titled ‘SO MUCH TO DO’ for its Eluga series featuring both Taapsee Pannu and Varun Dhawan.

The campaign is about exploring, creating, and trying what you’ve never done with Panasonic Eluga smart phones, the perfect smartphones to get started. The 360 degree campaign will be supported on television, Print, OOH, Cinema and Digital platforms.

Speaking about the association with Taapsee Pannu, Sarthak Seth, Head - Brand & Marketing Communications, Panasonic India & South Asia, said, “We were looking for a fresh face, Taapsee perfectly embodies our corporate identity for smartphone business in actions, values and voice. Her authentic approach to living a technology oriented lifestyle on a daily basis reflects both our Smartphone range and connects with the brand personality."

Taapsee Pannu said, “We, as film actors, lead a very hectic lifestyle and have so much on our list every day. I believe it is important to take out time for yourself and do things which you have never done. I am happy to be a part of this association, representing a trustworthy brand like Panasonic is itself an honour. The cutting edge technology and product design that goes into Panasonic smartphones differentiate it from the rest.”


Born in Delhi, Taapsee is known for her work in South Indian cinema and Bollywood. She has worked as a software professional and also pursued a career in modelling before becoming an actress. During her modelling career, she appeared in a number of commercials. After a short stint with modelling, Taapsee made her acting debut with the 2010 Telugu film.
