7.9 earthquake hits south-west of Sumatra
Jakarta, Mar 2 (Just Earth News/IBNS) An earthquake measuring 7.9 on the Richter Scale hit south-west of Sumatra island in Indonesia on Wednesday, the US Geological Survey said.
According to USGS website, the earthquake hit 662km south-west of Muara Siberut area.
The earthquake was felt at a depth of 10 km.
No casualty or damage to property has been reported so far.
