Bangladesh records 26 fresh deaths due to COVID-19

Dhaka: Bangladesh, the country which witnessed a massive COVID-19 pandemic outbreak for the past couple of months, recorded 26 fresh deaths due to the disease in the past 24 hours, media reports said.

The death toll due to the disease now stands at 27,251.

The daily death count was the lowest figure recorded since May 27.

The caseload rose by 1,555 to 1,544,238 in the 24 hours to 8 am on Monday, according to the latest government data, reports bdnews24.

Dhaka registered the most daily deaths and new cases among the eight divisions, logging 15 fatalities and 1,109 new infections, the news portal reported.
