Cases on decline, Centre directs all states to repeal COVID-19 restrictions

Aurangabad/Mumbai/UNI: The central government has directed the states and union territories to assess the situation and change the restrictions or repeal them as the cases of coronavirus are on the decline in the country.

In this regard, Union Health Secretary Rajesh Bhushan has written a letter to all the states chief secretaries Wednesday night which was posted on his Twitter account.

He stated all should continue to follow the five principles of prevention, testing, treatment, treatment, vaccination, and preventive measures to prevent coronavirus.

Maharashtra, which is one of the most affected states due to COVID-19, presently has a decreasing number of COVID-19 cases.

During the past 24 hours, 2,748 positive cases while 5,806 were cured and now 27,445 active cases were under treatment.

However in the state so far, 4,456 cases of new variant Omicron were reported of which 3,334 were cured.
