COVID-19: Maharashtra govt identifies 15 'Hotspots' in Thane

Thane/UNI:  In the wake of 33 people testing positive for Novel Coronavirus in this Maharashtra city, the state government on Friday has declared 15 places as Quarantine Containment zones or hotspots, to control the spread of COVID-19 pandemic.

These include Kajuwadi, Dosti Vihar, Happy Valley, Saibaba Nagar, Loda Paradise, Runwal Garden, Dhobi Ali, Vigna Harta building, Manisha Nagar, MG Road, Vrindavan Society and Suryanagar. In these zones, movement of people has been banned, TMC PRO Sandeep Malvi said in a statement issued here.

Out of 33, 12 cases were reported from Kalwa ward Zone, followed by nine from Mumbra, six from Majiwada-Manpada zone, two each from Lokmanya Nagar and Naupada-Kopri Zone, and one each in Vatak Nagar and Utalsar Zones, he added.
