Himachal Pradesh experiences mild to light snowfall

Shimla, Mar 18 (UNI) High reaches of Himachal Pradesh experienced mild to light snowfall at isolated parts and down streams lashed with rain and thundershower in last 24 hrs.

Met Office recorded two cm snowfall at Keylong in Lahaul Spiti and one cm in Kalpa in Kinnuar.

High reaches of Lahual Spiit and Kinnuar also had mild to light snowfall.
Bhuntar in Kullu had seven mm rainfall, Mandi five mm, Sundernagar 4.6 mm, Mashobra in Shimla 4.1 mm and Kufri and Manali two mm each respectively.

Minimum temperature was mainly unchanged as Keylong was coldest with minus 4.2 degree Celsius, Kalpa recorded minus 0.6 degrees, Manali was at zero degrees, Kufri 3.2 degrees, Bhuntar 5.2 degrees, Dalhousie 6.1 degrees, Solan 6.2 degrees and Sundernagar 6.8 degrees, Shimla 7.3 degrees, Chamba 7.4 degrees, Dharmshala 8.4 degrees, Kangra 8.7 degrees, Una nine degrees, Mandi 9.8 degrees, Nahan in Sirmaur and Hamirpur 9.9 degrees each and Bilaspur 10.2 degrees respectively.

The Met Office forecast rain or thundshower in few places in the mid and foot hills and rain or snowfall in the high reaches. Weather was mainly dry but partly cloudy in the day.
