India crosses 1 crore COVID-19 cases mark

New Delhi: India has crossed the grim milestone of 1 crore COVID-19 cases late on Friday.

The country added 25,153 fresh COVID-19 cases in the past 24 hours.

The death toll due to the deadly virus now stands at 145135 with the addition of 347 new deaths due to COVID-19 in past 24 hours.

So far, 9550712 people have been discharged.

There are 308751 active cases in the country at present.

The invisible and deadly virus has been ravaging the country for the past nine months now.

The virus not only hit the health of the people but also the economic state of the country.

The government had imposed a 21-day lockdown initially but was later extended for 68 days in total to combat the disease.
