India reports 25,166 COVID-19 cases in 24 hours, lowest in 154 days

New Delhi/IBNS: India Tuesday reported the lowest daily cases of COVID-19 in 154 days with the tally going up by 25,166 in the last 24 hours.

The country has reported 437 deaths apparently due to coronavirus in the same span of time.

In 24 hours between Monday and Tuesday mornings, 36,830 COVID-19 patients have recovered resulting in the active caseload to fall to 3,69,846, which is the lowest in 146 days.

The recovery rate, which is currently at 97.51%, has hit the highest since March 2020.

The active cases now constitute 1.15% of the total cases, the lowest since March 2020.

According to the data provided by the Union Health Ministry, India recorded the highest ever vaccination Monday with over 88 lakh doses being administered in the last 24 hours.

In total, 55.47 crore vaccine doses have so far been administered in the vast country of 1.3 billion people.
