India's Covid-19 tally touches 92.66 lakh with over 44,000 cases in 24 hours

New Delhi/IBNS: The Novel Coronavirus tally in India on Thursday touched 92.66 lakh with the reporting of over 44,000 new cases in the last 24 hours.

With 44,489 fresh infections reported from 36 states and union territories, the tally has surged to 92,66,705.

The Covid-19 toll has touched 1,35,223 as 524 people, who were infected with the virus, died in the last 24 hours.

The active cases, which remained below five lakh, have increased to 4,52,344.

The national recovery percentage has further improved to 93.66% as 86,79,138 Covid-19 patients have so far recovered from the disease.
