Infosys Foundation donates blood bank van to NIMHANS

Bangalore, Sept 23 (IBNS): Infosys Foundation has donated a blood bank van to NIMHANS on Friday.

The van has been  specially designed for blood donation camps in rural and city areas.

U B Pravin Rao, COO, Infosys Ltd handed over the bus to Dr. B N Gangadhara, Director, NIMHANS, at the Infosys Bengaluru campus.

As part of the ceremony, a blood donation camp was also organized on campus.

The fully air-conditioned collection bus is equipped with collection and storage of 250 litres of blood at a time along with a storage facility for 12 foldable cots.

It also includes the required medical equipment in case of an emergency and a generator set.
