Kerala reports 29 Covid-19 deaths, 8,135 new positive cases

Thiruvananthapuram/UNI: Kerala reported 29 deaths due to Covid-19 on Thursday whereas 8,135 people tested positive to the virus, 2,828 patients have recovered from the disease and total 72,339 patients are under treatment, Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan said.

"Of those detected, 7,013 are cases of infection through contact and the source was unknown for 730 cases. 105 healthcare workers were among those infected," the CM said while addressing a press conference here this evening.

Meanwhile, 29 deaths were confirmed as due to Covid. 

This takes the Covid related death toll in the state to 771.
