Kolkata's D.S. Research Centre organizes 'Ray of Hope' on World Cancer Day

Kolkata, Feb 5 (IBNS): Aiming to spread knowledge about cancer , ‘Ray of Hope’ event was organized by D.S. Research Centre in Kolkata on the occasion of World Cancer Day on Wednesday.

The day kick-started with a walkathon, held with the active participation of cancer survivors, doctors, students and D.S.R.C. staff from D.S Bhawan till ESI Hospital and back to D.S Bhawan.

Minister for Technical Education and Training, Science & Technology and Biotechnology, Rabiranjan Chattopadhyay along with Minister for Correctional Administration and Inland Water Transport, Haider Aziz Safwi and MLA, Paresh Pal and Councillor Sunanda Guha graced the occasion with their revered presence as the Chief Guests for the inauguration.

Anirban Bhattacharyya, Ayurvedacharya & Pharma Director along with Shibangi Das, Ayurvedacharya, D.S.R.C., Kolkata were present to address the media.

Speaking at the inaugural ceremony, Dr. Shibangi Das, Ayurvedacharya, D.S.R.C. said, “Our objective is to save the world from cancer with the assistance of our treatments based on the science of nutrient energy. Through our World Cancer Day initiatives, we at D.S. Research Centre work towards saving millions of preventable deaths each year by raising awareness and education about cancer.”
