Maharashtra: 14 fresh corona cases found in Dharavi

Mumbai/UNI: Fourteen new corona positive patients were found on Wednesday in Dharavi area of the city, known as Asia's largest slum, taking the tally of infected people to 2,282, said a senior Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) official here.

The civic body, however, did not disclose the number of Covid-19-related deaths in the area.

The BMC had not given any information about deaths in Dharavi in the last few days too.

As of Sunday, the area's toll due to the pandemic was 82.

Of total 2,282 positive patients, 1,618 have been discharged from hospitals after recovery.

The number of active coronavirus cases in the area is 535, the BMC official added.
