Maharashtra: Heat wave conditions continue in Marathwada region

Aurangabad, Maharashtra, Apr 27 (UNI) The heat wave conditions continue to prevail in the entire Marathwada region since last couple of days, as most of the districts were reeling under severe heat.

According to the Meteorological Department of Vasantrao Naik Marathwada Agricultural University, Parbhani district recorded the maximum temperature at 44.5 degree Celsius, the highest in this season.

The heat wave was going to rise due to the averse condition, the Met Dept warned.

The average temperature was 40 degrees Celcius last month.

The temperature was ranging between ranging between 40-45 celsius degrees in Aurangabad, Jalna, Beed, Osmanabad, Latur, Hingoli and Nanded, the Met Department reported.

Due to rising mercury, doctors have cautioned people to remain indoors to avoid the heat and the epidemic of fever, cough, cold, throat disease were rising.
Almost all the districts of the Marathwada region were reeling under the heat wave condition due to sharp falling humidity levels.

At noon, streets wore a deserted look, while most of the shopkeepers preferred to down their shutters and open their establishments after 1700 hrs, reports said.

In view of raising temperature further more forecast by the weather department in coming days the state government have issued alert to citizen in Marathwada and Vidharbha region to be careful and drink plenty of water.
