Maharashtra logs 1,931 new Covid cases, 9 deaths

Mumbai/UNI: Maharashtra reported 1,931 fresh Covid-19 cases, according to a health bulletin released on Sunday.

The state’s cumulative case tally has surged to 80,57,920, while the overall toll stood at 1,48,138 with nine new deaths reported.

The bulletin said 1,963 patients were cured of the virus and discharged, taking the recovery count to 78,97,907.

The state's recovery rate significantly stands at 98.01 per cent and the fatality rate at 1.83 per cent.

Presently, there are 11,875 active Covid-19 patients undergoing treatment in different hospitals in the state, the bulletin added.

In Marathwada region, there are 112 positive cases, including 47 in Latur district, Osmanabad (34), Aurangabad (15), Beed (10) and six cases in Jalna district.

No cases of Covid-19 were detected in the rest of the three districts, the bulletin said.
