Maharashtra reports 144 fresh Covid-19 cases, 2 deaths

Aurangabad/Mumbai/UNI: Maharashtra reported 144 fresh cases of Covid-19 and 2 related deaths, according to a health bulletin on Monday.

With the addition of these cases, the state's cumulative case tally has surged to 78,76,841 and the death toll has gone up to 1,47,834.

Meanwhile, 95 cured patients were discharged during the day across the state, taking the overall count of recoveries to 77,28,091.

The state's recovery rate significantly came down to 98.11% and fatality rate 1.87%.

Presently, 916 active patients were undergoing treatment in different hospitals, the bulletin added.

Meanwhile, only a single positive case was reported in Beed district of Marathwada region.

While the remaining 7 districts in the region did not report any new Covid cases, the bulletin further added.
