Lucknow/UNI: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Saturday directed the state's nodal officers to visit dengue affected areas and to ensure implementation of the dengue prevention measures.

At a meeting with the Health Department officials at his residence, the CM suggested the officials step up surveillance efforts in the affected areas.

"All municipal corporations and local bodies of the state should launch special campaigns on cleanliness, fogging and anti-larva spray," he said.

Yogi ordered that the availability of doctors and medicines should be ensured at all costs and the patient who arrives at the hospital must receive the required care.

Notably, earlier on Oct. 26, the CM had directed the Health Department officials to take extra precautions regarding dengue.

Along with this, instructions were given to make isolation wards in each district hospital and to assure the availability of medicines and other necessities like beds.

The CM had urged residents of the state to be watchful for communicable diseases and take all necessary precautions.
