Delhi schools to reopen from Monday for classes 10 and 12 students, attendance to remain optional

New Delhi: The Delhi government on Wednesday allowed the reopening of schools for class 10 and 12 students in the national capital from Monday.

The decision was taken in view of the upcoming CBSE board examinations which will begin from May 4.

Delhi Education Minister Manish Sisodia said in a tweet that permission has been given to the schools to conduct practicals, projects, counselling for the students from Jan 18.

He said students will not be forced to come to schools.

He said students can be asked to come to schools after their parents give them permission.

Schools and other educational institutes have remained shut in most part of the country due to COVID-19.
