ICAI hosts National Convention for CA students in Kolkata

Kolkata, July 11 (IBNS): Eastern India Regional Council (EIRC) jointly with Eastern India Chartered Accountants Students' Association (EICASA) under the aegis of Board of Studies, ICAI has organized a two day National Convention for CA Students on the theme 'Fusion India : Beating Targets, Achieving Excellence' at Centenary Auditorium of College Street Campus of the University of Calcutta.
 The inaugural session, on Saturday, was attended by Pramod Dayal Rungta, Chairman, EIRC;  Anirban Datta, Vice Chairman, EIRC & Chairman, EICASA; Abhijit Bandyopadhyay, Council Member, ICAI; Sumantra Guha, Council Member & Member, Board Of Studies, ICAI & Convention Convener;  Saquib Gulzar, Vice-Chairman, EICASA & Others.

The Convention provided an opportunity for Chartered Accountants students across the country to meet and discuss matters of their interest as C.A. students.

Renowned speakers from different parts of India were invited to speak on various professional and motivational topics covering Financial Reporting and Assurance, Companies Act 2013, Taxation, Economy & Current Affairs and Spiritual View Point of Stress Handling to Succeed.

Speaking to the media, Pramod Dayal Rungta said, “Chartered Accountancy profession cannot achieve great heights being only academically good; overall personality development is the essence for a shining future and it is very important that they brush up their communication and presentation skills as well.”

On this occasion, Anirban Datta said, “Institute of Chartered Accountants of India is the only professional educational institution which has a strong non political students wing which works for the betterment students who are pursuing Chartered Accountancy course and this helps the students to come out as a true professional in their future career.”

Saquib Gulzar shared his experiences at the event and said, “I welcome you all to the Students National Convention 2015 .The students have worked really hard to make this an amazing event. Lets hope we make it big.”
