IIEST Shibpur signs MOU with Heritage Institute of Technology Kolkata

Kolkata, July 6 (IBNS): A Memorandum Of Understanding (MOU) was signed between Heritage Institute of Technology, Kolkata (HITK) and Centre of Excellence for Green Energy & Sensor System (CEGESS), Indian Institute of Engineering Science & Technology, Shibpur (IIEST) with the objective of collaborative Research & Development activities on efficient solar cells development utilising the state-of–the-art laboratory facilities of CEGESS, IIEST, Shibpur and other relevant academic programmes such as conducting an M.Tech. course on 'Renewable Energy' at HITK .

The above MOU has been discussed comprehensively and subsequently signed by the Principal, HITK, Pranay Choudhuri and Dean, Research & Consultancy, IIEST, Shibpur Kalyan Kr  Bhar in presence of H. K. Chaudhary, Chairman, Kalyan Bharti Trust (KBT) and Ajoy Kr. Ray, Director, IIEST, Shibpur.

P.K.Agarwal, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Heritage Group of Institutions highlighted that this MOU will facilitate training and research activities jointly by students and faculty members of the Institute.

He also said that Joint Collaborative Research Projects, Publications in Journals, Research and Development activities on various types of solar cells such as organic and inorganic solar cells are the significant components of this MOU.
