Kolkata: ICCR, PLAY ON and Rotary Club of Calcutta Metro City hosts Sachetanata

Kolkata, May 4 (IBNS): ICCR, PLAY ON and Rotary Club of Calcutta Metro City presented a music and dance concert at the ICCR titled Sachetanata- an awareness program on Thalassaemia- on May 1.

The program was held on the eve of World Thalassaemia Day to be held on May 8.

Santoor Maestro Pdt Tarun Bhattacharya and Tabla virtuoso Pdt Prodyut Mukherjee's Jugalabandi was the high point of the evening.

The duo played Pdt Tarun Bhattacharya's favourite Raag Kirwani followed by a Bhaityali.

They were preceded by an enthralling Kathak presentation by Suprobha Mukherjee and an ensemble by Tarun Bhattacharya's students from Santoor Ashram.
