Kolkata: Shiv Nadar University to offer scholarship worth 35cr to under graduate students

Kolkata, May 18 (IBNS): Shiv Nadar University on Tuesday announced that this year they have allotted a scholarship fund of Rs.35 cr for its undergraduate students.
The university at a press conference here said the admissions  for the upcoming academic year have started for its undergraduate programs in Bachelor of Arts (Research), Bachelor of Science (Research) and Bachelor of Technology.

Talking at the conference, Dr. Jaya Menon, HOD, Department of History, SNVU said: "At Shiv Nadar University our endeavor is to develop the full potential of individual students- enabling them to become future leaders, equipped with excellent skill-sets and a sense of social commitment and  responsibility."
 
"Our multidisciplinary approach and focus on research provide an ecosystem that is engaging, transformative and empowering for our students, enabling them to contribute towards creating new knowledge."

This year the university has introduced a new Bachelor's program in Management Studies (BMS) under the aegis of the School of Management and Entrepreneurship (SOME).

"The BMS program is a step in this direction allowing students to actively explore the world of managing organizations in multiple sectors; combining sound theoretical knowledge with hands-on learning through internships, projects, business simulations and interactions with business leaders," said Menon.

The faculty of the university includes members from Cambridge University, Cornell University, Harvard University, Massachusetts Institute of Technology, University of California, Berkley, University of  Pennsylvania, University of Oxford and Indian Institute of Science.
