Kolkata: Tollywood actor Abir Chatterjee receives India’s 1st ever family food train

Kolkata, May 24 (IBNS): Indian snack brand Kurkure PepsiCo on Friday announced arrival of India’s first ever family food train, the Kurkure Family Express, in Kolkata.

Tollywood actornAbir Chatterjee received the train and the families travelling from Chennai on it at the Howrah Junction.

He interacted with the families and posed for pictures.

A new set of families boarded the train from Kolkata for a fun culinary experience of a lifetime on the final leg of the journey till New Delhi.

The families boarding from Kolkata were shortlisted through a rigorous audition process that saw over 1000 entries from across the country.

Food aficionados Rocky Singh and Mayur Sharma will host the families and engage them in fun games and food contests over the course of the journey.

Additionally, actors such as Ramya Krishnan and Boman Irani, Director Meghna Gulzar and other popular faces in the entertainment industry such as Annu Kapoor are also engaging and entertaining families in different legs of the train journey.

At the end of the eight day journey covering 14 states in India, four lucky families will win an all-expenses paid culinary trip to Europe. Families will also have a chance to be the face of the Kurkure brand and get featured on Television Commercials, Digital platforms and other marketing initiatives.

Speaking at the occasion, Abir Chatterjee, said, “I have been associated with Kurkure for a few years now and continue to be amazed by how the brand constantly seeks to bring together the institution of family and the culture of snacking, both of which are an integral part of being Indian.
