Bengaluru/IBNS: Top social media platforms like WhatsApp, Instagram, Twitter and Facebook are down for several days and outage tracking platforms have also noted rise in outage periods, said media reports.

The problem has been mainly in Europe, while the interruption has been also reported by some users in the US, said a Gadgets 360 report. The outage which affected all major Facebook products started around 3pm IST.

However, the majority of users in India are yet to notice the downtime, said the report.

According to the report the problem apparently started from Europe and then in UK and then spread to the rest of the world.
