Odisha government announces fellowship for NET qualified candidates

Bhubaneswar, Nov 17 (IBNS): The Odisha government has announced to provide fellowships to some selected candidates who have qualified national eligibility test but failed to get the junior research fellow.

The JRF is provided by the University Grants Commission.

State Education minister Ananta Das made the announcement recently during the Make in Odisha conclave.

According to the policy guideline, the state to provide research fellowship to the top ranking NET qualifiers in each subject who has not been found eligible for JRF for doing research in state universities reported The Times of India.

The rule said a candidate should be a permanent resident o Odisha to get the fellowship.

The fellowship period will be limited to four years.

An eligible candidate can get fellowship of Rs 15000 per month with a contingency of Rs 25000 per year for subjects having laboratory work and Rs 15000 for subjects without laboratory works.
