On-line arm of Saffronart to auction various items on the theme Art of Bengal

Kolkata, Jan 30 (IBNS): StoryLTD.com – a part of the Saffronart auction house – will be holding an on-line auction of Art of Bengal on Feb 2 and 3, which will include religious paintings; prints, books, stamps of and featuring the Bengal School artists; film posters, lobby cards and photographs from films by Satyajit Ray, Tapan Sinha, Purnendru Patri and Bimal Roy; etc.

Some of the key lots from the 55 lots to be auctioned are: Rabindranath Tagore A Centenary Volume (Lot 02), Painting of Mahisasura Mardini by Bengal School artist, mid-20th century (Lot 08),  Painting of Subhash Chandra Bose by Kartik Das, Mid-20th century (Lot 13) and Satyajit Ray’s Agantuk (Lot 20).

Lots 1 - 39 have a reserve price and lots 40 - 55 have no reserve price
