Kolkata, Oct 17 (IBNS): PC Chandra Group, a leading business group from Eastern India, expressed their gratitude to 300 senior citizens as part of the CSR activity to mark the World Geriatric Day.

World Geriatric Day is observed on October 1 every year.

Titled ‘Chrironobin’, the initiative included offering gratitude towards those who have contributed in making a strong foundation for the younger generation to build on.

The senior citizens appeared to enjoy the event, mingling and making new friends.

Singer Monomoy Bhattacharya rendered some melodious numbers.

The Group's Managing Director A. K. Chandra said, “This programme is very special for us. It is a token of our respect and gratitude for the work that these valued people have done in their prime. We are extremely happy to have them here and are grateful of their contributions which have made the foundations of our society so strong. I hope we have been able to add a little more enjoyment to their days."
