New Delhi/IBNS: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) board examinations, which are pending due to the pandemic Coronavirus and the subsequent lockdown, will be held in the first half of July.

Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank, the Human Resource Development (HRD) Minister, on Friday informed all pending board examinations of class 10 and 12 will be conducted between July 1 and 15.

Nishank said, "The students have been waiting for the schedule of the pending examinations for a long time. Today we have decided that the pending board examinations will be held between July 1 and 15. I wish good luck to all the students who would appear for the examinations."

The CBSE will announce a detailed schedule of the examinations later on Friday.

Few class 10 and 12 board examinations were postponed in March due to the spread of Covid-19 and the lockdown which began on Mar 25.

The lockdown was later extended twice till May 17.
