Rotary Club of Calcutta Samaritans hosts three-day youth leadership awards program for tribal students in Bakura

The three-day Sanhati RYLA, (Rotary Youth Leadership Awards) held from 6th to 8th November 2025 at Vivekananda Siksha Niketan High School, Bankura, comprised a well-structured schedule combining Leadership Training, Personal Development development, and Social Awareness.

The programme commenced with the inaugural session, which included flag hoisting, addresses by distinguished dignitaries, and an introductory Orientation for Participants and an interactive Ice Breaker.

During the subsequent sessions on the first day, the focus was on ethics and values in leadership, communication skills and public speaking, problem-solving, and peace building.

The second day featured a blend of educational and participatory activities, with sessions on Social Justice and Advocacy, Leadership, Goal Setting and Purpose in Life, Thalassaemia Awareness, and Team Building.

A valuable session on Thalassaemia, Health Care, Healthy Diet,  Discipline in Life was conducted by l Rtn. Dr  Ramendu Hom Choudhury, District Governor.
Participants also took part in creative and competitive segments, including Art, Extempore Speaking, Skit, and Talent Hunt, which fostered teamwork and expression.

The concluding day addressed critical themes such as Diversity, Equity and Inclusion, Mental Wellness, and Community Service.

Dr. Chitra Mondal conducted a special session on Cervical Cancer Awareness for girl participants.

The event concluded with a Valedictory Session, where reflections were shared by the participants. The Camp Commandant presented a report, and awards were distributed to recognise outstanding contributions and performances.
