Renowned musician and percussionist Bickram Ghosh himself was present to launch the academy, which is located in the school premises.

The three day inter school cultural fest took place from August 24 to 26, this year, with over 20 schools participating in the various events.

The festival included on-stage events such as two rounds of general quiz competition, a themed fashion show, dance competition, debate, treasure hunt, ‘antakshari’, cooking competition, etc.

Rita Chatterjee, Director, North point Senior Secondary Boarding School, was also present.

Said Ghosh, “South City International School has a vision for the future and is an excellent medium to reach the students and understand their potential in performing arts.”

Addressing the students, John Bagul, Principal of South City International School, said, “I truly believe that music can create a harmonious bonding between the mind and soul and Bikram Ghosh Academy will be imparting just that.”

He also acknowledged the support from Ravi Todi to set up the music academy.
