Twitter's blue bird logo replaced with Dogecoin dog

| @indiablooms | Apr 04, 2023, at 03:41 pm

The hashtag '#TwitterLogo' started trending since Monday when the logo of the popular microblogging site was replaced with the "doge" meme of the Dogecoin cryptocurrency.

Till the change was made, Twitter had the iconic blue bird logo which has been a part of the social media platform for several years.

Elon Musk, who owns Twitter, reacted to the development by posting an old conversation where he had promised to change the logo and wrote: " As promised."

Incidentally, the change in the Twitter logo is only visible on the web version of the microblogging platform.

The official account for cryptocurrency exchange Binance said: "Twitter looking a little different."

It’s unclear what prompted the change. However, the dogecoin logo appeared just days after Musk’s lawyers asked a judge to dismiss a $258 billion racketeering lawsuit accusing the billionaire of running a “pyramid scheme” to boost the digital currency’s value, reports New York Post.

The newspaper reported that the change of the logo has prompted the cryptocurrency to soar as much as 30%.
