UNICEF MP Chief interacts with children on safer internet day

Amarkantak, Feb 5 (IBNS): Michael Juma, Chief UNICEF, Madhya Pradesh speaking to children at Kendriya Vidyalaya of Indira Gandhi National Tribal University, in Amarkantak talked about digital parity, safety and care as Safer Internet Day was observed. 

He was interacting with school children and talking to them about safer internet and that we need technology to get access information.

"However we need to learn to protect ourselves and be aware of the challenges the technology brings," said he.

He talked about do’s and don’t’s on internet for children.

Children asked him questions on safety tips, how they can make internet safer for children, and what steps they can take as children do make safer internet.

Safer Internet day is marked on Feb 5 this year and the slogan this year is together for better internet and is call to action for all for creating safer internet for all particularly younger generation.

Prof Rabindranath Manukonda. Dean of Indira Gandhi Trinal National University, Anil Gulati Communication Specialist, UNICEF, Madhya Pradesh and Sujan Sarkar, PME Officer UNICEF, MP and Praveen Banjara Officiating Principle of Kendriya Vidyalaya, were present at the event.
