106 people arrested, 18 FIRs lodged in North East Delhi violence: Delhi Police

New Delhi/IBNS: In a press briefing on Wednesday evening the Delhi Police said it has arrested 106 people and lodged 18 FIRs so far in connection with the violence in North East Delhi on Monday, said media reports.

Delhi Police PRO Ms Randhawa,who, reportedly, did not take any questions from the media, said miscreants were being identified.

The police is acting on the basis of "CCTV footage and strong evidence".

He said the situation was under control and no untoward incident occurred on Wednesday in the riot-hit northeast Delhi.

He appealed to the people not to pay heed to rumours and call 22829334 and 22829335 for any help or information.
