A new Govt will be soon installed in Maharashtra: Dvendra Fadnavis

New Delhi, Nov 4 (UNI) Amid continued stalemate in government formation in Maharashtra, the state Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis met BJP chief and Union Home Minister Amit Shah here on Monday and later exuded confidence that he is "assured" that a government will be installed in the western state soon.

"Maharashtra mein jald sarkar banegi, Hum puri tarah se aswasth haen (All I want to say is that a new government will be formed in Maharashtra soon, I am confident about it)," Fadnavis told reporters emerging out of 40-minutes meeting with Shah.

The Fadnavis-Shah meeting has significance of its own as the entire political drama on government formation in the western state has shifted to the capital with two principal political protagonists NCP chief Sharad Pawar and Fadnavis arriving here for holding respective conclaves.

The NCP has been approached by the Shiv Sena for formation of a possible alliance and to have a government without BJP.

Fadnavis, however, maintained, "I do not want to comment on anything more as everyone is making some comment on the formation new government in the state".

Meanwhile, sources maintained that the BJP has kept its backchannel communication on with Sena leadership and discussions are being hold on distribution of 'key portfolios' including Finance and Revenue.
