New Delhi/IBNS: Congress leader Rahul Gandhi today flayed Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his government over the farmers' agitation, alleging them of killing democracy and labelling anybody, who criticised the PM, as "terrorists" even if it was RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat.

Demanding the repeal of the farm laws, he said they were framed in consequence of the efforts of the Prime Minister to appease the crony capitalists.

He claimed there was no democracy in India and said those who believed in its existence were actually imagining it.

Modi critics were being labelled as "terrorists" whether they were farmers, labourers or even if it was Mohan Bhagawat chief of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), the BJP's ideological parent, he said.

The Congress leader was speaking after leading a delegation to Rashtrapati Bhawan seeking intervention of President Ram Nath Kovind the demand of the repeal of the farm laws that have triggered massive protests by the farmers.

The Congress has also demanded a joint session of parliament to debate on the laws, which the opposition alleges were passed hastily through parliament in violation of rules.
