Assam: Police seize 800 cartons of illegal liquor in Biswanath

Guwahati/IBNS: Police seized an illegal liquor laden truck and apprehended a person in Assam’s Biswanath district on Thursday night.

Police seized 800 cartons of illegal liquor worth Rs 10 lakh from the truck.

Based on secret information, police intercepted the truck which was coming from Banderdewa area in Arunachal Pradesh and seized the illegal liquor bottles.

A police officer said that the market value of the seized liquor is estimated around Rs 10 lakh.
