Assembly polls: NDA marches ahead in Jharkhand, Maharashtra

The Bharatiya Janata Party-led NDA is marching ahead in Maharashtra as counting of votes for the Assembly polls is currently underway on Saturday.

As per trends at 9.30 am, NDA is leading in 176 seats. The opposition Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) alliance is ahead in 81 seats.

Other parties are cruising in 10 seats.

The magic figure that the contesting political outfits are aiming to touch in Maharashtra is 145.

The state registered 66.05 percent polling overall.

In Jharkhand, NDA is ahead in 43 seats while the INDIA alliance is leading in 32 seats, showing a close battle in the politically crucial state.

The counting of votes across the 81 seats began at 8 am .Polling was held in two phases in Jharkhand on November 13 and November 20.
