Bhutan PM praises Indian counterpart Narendra Modi over COVID-19 vaccine rollout

Thimpu/UNI: Bhutan Prime Minister Lotay Tshering on Saturday congratulated Prime Minister Narendra Modi on national rollout of the COVID-19 vaccination programme.

"I would like to congratulate PM @narendramodi and the people of India for the landmark launch of nationwide COVID-19 vaccination drive today. We hope it comes as an answer to pacify all the sufferings we have endured this pandemic," Tshering said in a Twitter post.

He prayed for the good health and well being of Mr Modi and the people of India.

World's largest COVID-19 vaccination programme began in India on Saturday morning. Health care workers both in government and private sectors would be vaccinated first.
