Bihar: Maoist murdered after his surrender

Gaya, Sep 23 (UNI) A Maoist who had surrendered before police a few years back was killed at Nandai village under Imamganj police station area in the district late last night.

 

Police said here that former active member of outlawed CPI (Maoist) Rekha Yadav who had long running land dispute with his family members was found murdered with a sharp edged weapon at Nandai village. Sources said that the extremist had surrendered before police in 2015.

Deputy police superintendent of Imamganj was investigating the matter at the spot. The body had been sent to Anugrah Narain Magadh Medical College and Hospital here for autopsy.

Police said that the outlaw had been given Rs 3 lakh by the government for facilitating his return to the mainstream of the society.
