The body of a 22-year-old missing woman was recovered from a plastic sack in Sandi area of Hardoi district here in Uttar Pradesh on Saturday, police sources said here.

Police sources said that on Saturday morning the residents of Paraspur village spotted a plastic sack lying along the roadside.

"The resident also found a bag containing clothes of a woman lying nearby after which they informed the police," they said.

Police sources said that when the police opened the sack they found the body of the woman with its legs and hands tied with a rope.

"There was an injury mark on the head and the sack was soaked in blood. On the basis of Aadhar card the deceased was identified as Sunaina, a resident of Kamrauli village," they said.

Police sources said that when Sunaina's family members were contacted they informed the police that she got married to Akash, a resident of Malautha village, three years back.

"The family members told the police that on Friday evening she left for her in-laws house around 6 pm," they said.

Police sources said that it is being suspected that Sunaina was killed by a close acquaintance and later her body was thrown along the roadside after being packed in the sack.
Superintendent of Police (SP) Keshav Chandra Goswami said that the deceased was not having good relations with her in-laws.

"The police are investigating the case on the basis of the complaint lodged by the deceased's family and the postmortem report," he said.
