BSF apprehend drug peddler with contraband drugs in Assam’s Karimganj

Guwahati/IBNS: The Border Security Force (BSF) seized a huge quantity of contraband drugs and apprehended a drug peddler in Assam’s Karimganj district.

Acting on specific information, the troops of BSF launched an operation and intercepted a four wheeler near Nandapur tri-junction near Bhanga on National Highway – 37 in Karimganj district.

After intercepting the vehicle, the Officer-in-Charge of Badarpur police station was informed about the incident and police reached the spot and carried out a detailed search of the vehicle.

On searching of the vehicle, the security personnel had seized 1,640 numbers of Yaba tablets and 1.5 kg of cannabis from the vehicle and apprehended a person.

The apprehended person was identified as Abdul Sukkur.
