BSP chief Mayawati says those responsible for Muradnagar accident should be strictly punishment

Lucknow/UNI: Expressing grief on the accident at Muradnagar, Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) supremo Mayawati on Monday demanded that the officials responsible for the incident be given stringent punishment.

In a tweet, Mayawati said, "The death of nearly two dozen people after the roof of a cremation ground collapsed in Ghaziabad's Muradnagar in UP is extremely sad and painful. Condolences to the victim family and may nature give them the strength to bear this grief."

She added, "Also, the UP government should investigate the incident properly and ensure strict punishment to the culprits, that is not save anyone and must also provide appropriate financial help to the victim's family, this is the demand of the BSP."

On Sunday, the roof of a cremation ground in Muradnagar in Ghaziabad collapsed, killing more than 20 people.
