New Delhi, Aug 10 (IBNS): Congress leader Rahul Gandhi is likely to visit Wayanad constituency, which has been badly hit by flood, on Sunday.

Gandhi told reporters: “I am going to Wayanad tomorrow. Most likely for two days.  Spoke to PM, Kerala CM and have asked party workers to help."

Rahul Gandhi on Aug 8 described the flood situation of his constituency as 'grim'.

"The flood situation in my parliamentary constituency, #Wayanad is grim. I’m monitoring the situation closely & have spoken to the Kerala CM and key Govt officials to expedite relief. I will be reaching out to PM Modi as well to brief him & request Central Govt. assistance," he had tweeted.

Rahul Gandhi won the Lok Sabha polls from Wayanad this time.

Kerala CM  Pinarayi Vijayan on Saturday said 1111 flood relief camps are operating across the state.

He said the camps are housing 124464 persons from 34386 families.
