Foreign Service Attaches visit forward areas of Eastern Command

Guwahati/IBNS: Foreign Service Attache tour is conducted biennially for the Foreign service attaches to the service establishments for better understanding of the Indian Armed forces.

A delegation of foreign Service attaches comprising of 29 officers from 26 nations visited one of the front line Division of Eastern Command on Thursady during their ongoing visit to North East India.

Kohima based  Defense PRO Lt. Col. Sumit K Sharma said that, the delegation on arrival was received and briefed by the General Officer Commanding of the Division.

The delegation also interacted with the staff officers and got an insight into the cultural diversity and terrain of Assam and Arunachal Pradesh.

A cultural programme highlighting the cultural diversity of Assam was also organised for the delegation.

The foreign officers appreciated the rich history, culture and biodiversity of India and applauded the efforts of Indian Army in maintaining the same.
